On Saturday, Nov. 19, we lost our partner and great friend Harry Weller. A renowned technology investor, champion of innovation and true partner to entrepreneurs, many knew Harry to be bold, brilliant and passionate. The outpouring of love and support from across the venture and tech communities has spoken volumes, and it has been a tremendous source of comfort to all of us at NEA to hear and read the wonderful tributes and memories that have been shared. Harry’s extraordinary impact will be enduring, both within the NEA family and across the entire community. Many have asked if there is a place to direct gifts or contributions in Harry’s memory, and we’re pleased to share details of a charitable giving program we’ve established with his wife Rachel—the Harry Weller Big Idea Fund.

Harry’s boundless energy, intellectual curiosity and passion for entrepreneurship were an inspiration to many and an invaluable asset to those fortunate enough to work alongside him. With this fund, we will commemorate those hallmark traits by supporting organizations and causes committed to advancing education, innovation and entrepreneurship.
