Vanessa joined NEA in 2019 as an investor on the technology team. Prior to joining NEA, Vanessa was an investment banker at Qatalyst Partners in San Francisco where she worked on transformative M&A transactions across software, networking, consumer internet and semiconductors. While at Qatalyst, Vanessa worked on Looker’s sale to Google, NGINX’s sale to F5 Networks, Imperva's sale to Thoma Bravo, the merger of Hortonworks and Cloudera, Verifone's sale to Francisco Partners, and Callidus Software's sale to SAP.

Vanessa graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree in Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors Business Administration (HBA) from Ivey Business School. Vanessa is a proud Canadian.
