Valerie joined NEA in 2018 as an Analyst on the Technology team in Menlo Park and focuses on consumer investments. Prior to joining NEA, Valerie interned in the tech investment banking team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York City as well as the digital strategy team at Hyundai in Seoul, South Korea. Previously, she has also held roles in product management and marketing in Bay Area startups.

Valerie graduated from Stanford University with an M.S in Management Science & Engineering and a B.A in Economics. She was president of the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students (BASES), the largest student entrepreneurship group on campus with a reach of 5,000+ students, faculty and alumni. She is now a member of their advisory board. Furthermore, she also conducted research with Professor Tom Byers of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) on ethics in entrepreneurship education.
