Dan is a marketing and communications manager at NEA, where he promotes the firm’s brand and provides strategic support to the portfolio. He has extensive experience helping early-stage companies crystallize their story into a compelling narrative that resonates and differentiates. Time and again, Dan has waded into the weeds with a highly complex technology startup, pulling them out with a message that moves markets.
As marketing lead at Highway1, a seed-stage hardware startup accelerator, he advised a portfolio of more than 70 companies on brand, marketing and public relations. He also consulted for dozens of startups and Fortune 500 companies while at two leading communications firms, Edelman and Siegel+Gale.
Prior to moving to San Francisco in 2011, Dan advanced energy, environment and transportation policy for elected officials in Ohio. He grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, and received a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University, with a dual concentration in political science and communications.
