Cynthia joined NEA’s healthcare team in 2011 and focuses on opportunities in the medical device, biopharmaceutical, and healthcare services sectors. Prior to joining NEA, Cynthia worked in equity research for four years, covering the cardiovascular medical technology sector at Piper Jaffray and development stage biopharmaceutical companies at Pacific Growth Equities. While at Piper Jaffray, she specifically focused on innovative technologies in emerging therapeutic areas, including structural heart disease and electrophysiology. Cynthia is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a BA in Integrative Biology and a BS in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business.
